We use the anapana technique known from buddhist meditation practices to get settled into the seancé and establish our concentration to begin with. Anapana is breath meditation, where the practitioner is observing in and out breaths as they happen. We then use the ancient so hum mantra to continue the meditation. This mantra expresses the sound of breathig as well as has a deep meaning (so hum = I am that), confirming universal identity of all to the practitioner. This is a good basic practice to center Yourself and cultivate mindfulness.
