Tutorial for four-limbed staff pose, which is a basic yet challenging whole-body-posture. You will learn key alignment points of chaturanga, as well as how to aid the pose with props to minimize the strain on arms and back if necessary. This pose should not be practiced with carpal tunnel syndrome and during pregnancy. Chaturanga strengthens arms and wrists and develops the abdominal region. It is used as a transition pose throughout asana practice, which is perhaps more akin to the ashtanga vinyasa tradition.
