Known as one of the foundational asanas, fierce pose is a standing posture, which impacts the entire body, involving lots of leg and spine engagement. In this tutorial, I will show three versions of the pose and further explain the alignment points. Utkatasana is a beneficial posture, as it is excellent for effectively building strength in thighs, ankles, calves and spine, it stretches the upper back and chest region, stimulates the organs in the belly and tones the diaphragm. The pose is especially good for people with flat feet and is a good way to create a healthy back bend. Please be careful with practicing this posture, if You have trouble with headaches or insomnia and tend to have very low blood pressure.
