A longer tutorial focusing on an important topic, which often seems to be secondary during sessions of guided meditation - meditation posture. We spend some time to explore different ways of sitting in meditation and have a look at how props like pillows and blankets can actually help us find a comfortable seat for meditating. Sitting with ease during meditation or pranayama is so essential, because ultimately what takes us deeper in the practice is the ability to shut out the external world and quiet the body and mind. Obviously, this is impossible to achieve, if we keep being disturbed by tension in the physical body and the subsequent thoughts. Only once we are able to move inwards and beyond the gross level of our being, can we truly begin to talk about meditative states.
