In this half an hour tutorial, I discuss energy locks or bandhas, which are known in yoga practice as a way to harness our life force energy and embrace it. The video outlines three bandhas, jalandhara, uddiyana and mula bandha, which can be performed as separate techniques or be integrated into asana and pranayama practices to enhance connection between layers of our existence. Injecting bandhas into one´s sadhana has numerous benefits, as it can stabilize the body internally for asana practice, optimize energy control in pranayama and improve functions of organs. Ultimately, what working with these energy locks also teaches us, is the ability to further develop self control on a deep level, as we begin to sense our deep muscles and control them.
