In this tutorial I will talk about physical and energetic aspects of downward facing dog pose and outline key alignment points. Downdog is a pose for the entire body, stretching the limbs, shoulders, hands, torso and spine. Avoid this pose, if You have serious trouble with high blood pressure, headaches or diarrhea. This pose is also not suitable for people with carpal tunnel syndrome or last phases of pregnancy. Downward facing dog calms the brain and energizes the body. It helps to combat stress and depression, as well as strengthens the limbs, aids digestion, prevents osteoporosis. Downdog relieves symptoms of menopause, migraines, sciatica, insomnia, back pain and asthma, among others.
