Tutorial for upward facing dog pose, which is similarly to its counterpart, downward facing dog, a basic whole-body-posture. You will learn key alignment points in this video, as well as adjustments for safer back bends. This pose should not be practiced by people with carpal tunnel syndrome, back injury, headaches and pregnancy. Urdhva mukha svanasana helps to relieve asthma, fatigue, sciatica and depression, stimulates abdominal organs and improves posture. It stretches the ribcage and abdomen, as well as strengthens the arms and spine.
