This is the fifth video of the Pratyahara practice series. You will be guided through a Pratyahara practice focusing on the sense of sight. In this class, we will use an object as a gazing point, so find a small statue, mandala, candle or something similar for the class. The practice consists of three phases. In the first phase, we observe how the object sparks thoughts. In the second phase, we will close the eyes and remove impure thoughts and negative impressions. In the final stage, we create shunyata between the mind and the sense. Pratyahara, the fifth limb of yoga from Patanjali´s yoga sutras, bridges the gap between Pranayama and Dharana.
